Burford claims third junior title

EMERING tennis talent Jack Burford won a third consecutive Red Cliffs Lawn Tennis Club junior championship at the weekend.

The young gun went undefeated through his round robin matches to finish as the winner of the Boys A Grade ahead of Tague Morris.

In the return of the Girls A Grade event, Nicola Demaria came out on top after also wining every match, with Tami Fanoiki runner-up.

Burford also did the double as he and Josh Williams won the A Boys doubles for the second year in a row, while Layla Searle and Mercedes Kaiser were the A Grade girls double champions.
