Coffee shop to perk up trade

A NEW coffee shop has opened in Mildura with a drive to be different.

Along the wall at B2M, or Beans2Machines, are a variety of different coffee related products, applications, and equipment.

Environmentally safe edible coffee cups made of rye, wheat, oat, sugar, coconut oil, and salt are also available, intended to last up to eight hours with either a hot or cold beverage.

“Everyone’s used to the lattes, this is a point of difference,” owner Strat Karallis said.

“I wanted to tap into a niche market and bring something different to Mildura.

“Coffee is my passion, and I want to teach people that there’s more to it than just a machine that brews coffee, and more than one way to do it.

“The flavours that come from those different ways is just unbelievable, and it makes people happy.

“We have these rare, exotic beans we use for pour over coffee, and that just enhances the flavour so well.

“It’s not a straight caffeine hit in your face, it’s more like drinking a cup of tea, or a fine wine, it’s very delicate and beautiful that way.”

Mr Karallis’ parents previously operated a fruit and vegetable store from the same location.

“They came from Melbourne in the 1980s and this was their first shop,” he said.

“After our last coffee shop I thought I’d sworn it off, I’ve been in the industry a long time but it’s built in.

“I’ve got my sons with me, they love coming to work, and it’s a really great environment.”

Coffee machine repairs are also available through B2M.
